At 85mm you can just get a full body in that 10'x15' room if shot in portrait. Those focal lengths make more flattering photos. I can't recall ever seeing a shorter focal length recommended. The minimum lens I've seen recommended for shoot portraits on a D800 is 85mm. The limitations and viable options were clear. It positioned the camera specifying lenses, film/sensor size. The location room, the furniture, the props, the actors. Welles could bring in a jack hammer and chop up the studio floor to lower his camera.not an option for me.įrame Forge 3D let me set up everything exactly. It was an Orson Welles Citizen Kane moment.
Not necessarily recommending it.but when I started trying storyboards and blocking I quickly found my story boards had shots that were impossible on location.
